Stranger-directed Aggression 

If your dog shows aggression toward people (growling, snarling, snapping, biting, etc.) when:

• They come into your house

• Walking past them outside

• They try to initiate a greeting (eye contact, talking to the dog, etc.) with the dog

Body Handling Aggression

If your dog shows aggression (growling, snarling, snapping, biting, etc.) when:

• You put on their collar, harness, or any other equipment

• You attempt to touch or handle their paws, ears, or look in their mouth

• Any grooming task is attempted (bathing, nail trims, etc.)

• At the vet, during or before any of the above attempts

fear/stress in public

If your dog is generally fearful in public, private dog training can give them the time and attention they need to become a confident, well-adjusted companion.

Separation Anxiety

If your dog does (or has done) any of the following when left home alone:

• Destructive behaviors (chewing or scratching at walls, baseboards, doors, windows, furniture, etc.)

• Self-mutilating behaviors (licking and chewing their legs/paws, or hurting themselves as a byproduct of attempting to escape the house or the room they are left in)

• Excessive vocalization (whining, barking, howling), perhaps as reported by disgruntled neighbors

• Defecation or urination from stress (when otherwise fully potty trained)

• Excessive drooling

• Excessive panting (for most--if not all--of the duration of your absence)

Leash Reactivity

If your dog can't walk past people or other dogs without doing any of the following:

• Lunging to the end of the leash

• Growling

• Snarling

• Snapping their teeth
